GemScout is designed to prioritize your privacy.No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data, browsing history, or personal identifiers on our servers.Local Storage Only: The extension stores your preferences (for example, grader mode, theme selection, and trial status) locally on your device using Chrome’s storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser.3. Permissions & Usage
GemScout requires specific permissions to function:GemScout requires limited host permissions to function. Specifically, the extension runs only on supported card marketplaces (such as eBay, COMC, MyCardPost, and other supported marketplaces listed on our Chrome Web Store page). These permissions are used only to capture the image of the trading card you are viewing so the extension can apply the grading overlay. We do not analyze, store, or transmit page content other than the specific image you select for grading.4. Payments
We use ExtensionPay (ExtPay) and Stripe to process payments securely for the paid version of GemScout.When you upgrade, your payment information (such as your credit card number) is processed directly by Stripe. GemScout does not have access to your full payment details.ExtensionPay helps us verify your paid status for licensing and unlocking features.
